We have been customers at Christian Brother's for a long time, not only that this location but the one in Lubbuck as well, an we've usually had pretty good luck when we've used them in the past. But this time was just the polor opposite. We called on a Tuesday with an oil leak problem on my truck, and they said they could set up an appointment on Thursday morning. So we take it in, and expect that if you have an appointment that they'll get on in fairly shortly. Later that afternoon I hadn't heard anything so I called and checked in, and they said they hadn't even looked at it yet but would get to it soon because they were backed up. So around 5:30 they called and said it was the valve cover gaskets that needed to be replaced, and then I got a text shortly after that they said they were waiting on parts. They close at 6:00, so I knew it wouldn't be ready until the next day. So on Friday it was same thing, with no status updates. I called in the afternoon to check, and they said it would be until Monday. I was starting to get a little hacked off, there was no communication. The guy I was talking to on the phone told me they were short handed because they had to fire one of their technicians and that there was only one mechanic working. I thought, well I understand but that put's me in a mess now. I was somewhat upset, so I asked them if they would rent me a car until Monday, and they said they could pass that along to the owner. So that evening the owner called me, but all he really said was "what do you want me to do". I asked him if they could get the car to me tomorrow, but he said they wouldn't open on Saturday just for me. However, he say he would meet me over at the Enterprise to rent me a car on Monday morning. So I went over there and we go inside, but he didn't have a reservation for a car and there weren't any cars that were going to available until after lunch. Then the the owner said he didn't want to hear me whine about the repair, and that I could take the car elsewhere if I had complaints. This is just what appalled me, that he was going to kick us out the door because he had an angry and upset customer and didn't want to do anything to fix that. So I just asked me to get the car fixed and left. Finally that day they did the vehicle fixed, and they did do an oil change for free, which I guess was there attempt to make things better. My wife and I have been thinking about writing a letter to the Christian Brother's franchise to complain about the whole experience, and now I"m reluctant to go back to any Christian Brother's location.
