Our Quick Take:

The engine may stall and/or a fuel leak may develop from the fuel rail crossover tube. Any fuel leak increases the risk of a fire.

What Should You Do?

Please contact your General Motors dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.

Summary:

The engine fuel rail crossover tube retainer screws may not have been manufactured to specifications and can break. If the retainer screws break, fuel could leak from the crossover joint. As a result, the engine may stall. Additionally, any fuel leak increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel rail crossover tube and if necessary replace the retainer screws.
