We got new brake calipers and tires changed 2-3 weeks ago. Tires have been re-balanced. It's not just steering wheel that shakes, but whole car. It was just a slight tremble, and now it's worse after balancing. Right around 45-50 it shakes, but 60 it calms down.
I have 75 characters Question field.
added fule cleaner that didn't help, took it to a shop and they said it was the coil pack and module then they said the plugs needed to be replaced and now the catalytic converter is bad. seriously?? is this possible?
the car is in good shape and had 175,000 highway miles
I thought when the catalytic converter went bad it smelled like sulphur.
The problem of hard-shifting at 15, 30 & 45 mph happens every time I am stopped and start to drive. In December, the local dealership said the pins in the TCM needed to be replaced ($400 and 17 days later). Within 2 weeks, the same exact problem started again. Their next diagnosis was that the Transmission Harnesses were shorting and needed to be replaced for an estimated $1100. Today they call back and say it's not the transmission harnesses but they found water in the transmission. They asked when the last time my radiator was replaced which was 2 years ago. They have misdiagnosed my troubles twice in less than 2 months. The dealership is now telling me that the problem isn't the transmission harneses but that I need a new transmission. The car has 132k miles. It's been a wonderful car almost trouble free. Could the problem be anything else besides a faulty transmission? I hope you can help! Tammy
ANY OTHER THOUGHTS, WIRING HARNESS LOOKS GOOD, COULD IT BE A SENDING UNIT, CAR HAS 142000 MILES , IT CAME ON TUESDAY AND STAYED ON TILL SHE TURNED CAR OFF, ONLY TILL SHE COULD GET TO SHOULDER, AND SET FOR AFEW MINUTES, RESTARTED AND IT STAYED OFF, CHECKED OIL AND WAS 1/2 QT LOW, ADDED OIL TILL TODAY , HAVE CHECKED FOR CODES, SHOWS NONE
I have already turned the car off and it still stays on
Driving down the street one day and power steering went out. bought power steering fluid. Come to find out, it is electric and does not need powere steering fluid.

The engine smells like it is burning oil, and the last two times I've had the oil changed it's been 1 quart low. Should I have the oil pan gasket replaced or sealed, if it is the cause of the smell? What is the best way to tell?
It sounds like is coming from inside the car, could it be the muffler? or something else?
Case is broken , I have to put another one in.
Sometimes when I'm traveling at about 40 - 60 mph an obnoxious fluttering starts in the ventilation system when I have the AC or the Heater on with the fan on. Finally it gets on your nerves. A mechanic advised me that it sounds like a leaf or piece of trash had gotten down on top of the ventilation fan and the fan would have to be taken out, the trash removed and then replaced. A new plastic seal would be required. I need a good mechanic in this area that want charge an old retired man an arm and a leg.
where would the dpfe sensor be located?
