1998 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup Recalls
The front inner corner of the fuel tank may rub on the vehicle body, causing noise and eventually causing a fuel leak from the tank due to the abrasion. This would cause an odor and fire hazard.
Recalls on your General Motors truck must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors began notifying known owners of affected vehicles when the recall was announced, in August 1998. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealers below. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
