Question: Checking the Oil level

When I 'm going through the menue to check the oil level electronically I'm getting the message: Wait For 3- seconds and then the Menu jumps back where it was before.

What is the short red dip stick for under the hood. It's ~3" long and doesn't look like a regular Oil dip stick.?

    Hi, sorry to see you didn't get an answer to your question, were you able to find out what was causing the problems with the oil level display?
    I believe the red dip stick is a plug for the transmission dipstick tube. They are not providing the actual dipstick to help avoid people from adding incorrect fluid or the wrong amount.
