where is the dipstick to check transmission fluid?

Your 2001 Oldsmobile Alero does not have a transmission dipstick. The fluid level is checked by removing the transmission fluid level control plug located on the right side of the transmission with the engine running in park or netural. The fluid level is correct when the level is at the bottom of the threaded hole.
