check stability control message. on 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS

Today at 70,000 miles I got a check stability control message. What dose that mean?

The stability control system in your 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS helps the vehicle maintain directional control. When the message is displayed fault code(s) will be stored in the anti-lock brake system control module which is the brain behind the stability system. Fault codes should be retrieved, diagnosed and repaired. A common failure of this system is the steering wheel position sensor.

Thanks for the replay. I was driving on ice that day, and maybe the censer was as confused as I was. The message has never come on again.
