Question: Check Oil light remains on after repairs

Rookie

Had an oil change a few weeks ago. Oil light came on after that so they replaced oil pressure sender. Now, the oil light still comes on buy only when the car is idle. When in gear and moving it goes out? This is getting very expensive for me. HELP plez.

What kind and brand of oil did they put in? the book states to use only manufacturer approved high performance synthetic oil in this vehicle 5W-30 or 5W-40

I would call the mini dealer and ask if Pennzoil is factory approved

had the same problem after a oil change. there is a spring loaded valve in the filter housing and they may have thrown it out with the old filter. without that you will loose pressure at idle. also check the filter is the right way round the seal end of the filter should go in first towards the engine if its other way round you will also loose pressure
