How do you shut off the check gauges light all other lights are off

  one of the readings on the guages is showing a problem. find out the guage reading and have the problem confirmed and repaired.

  Take it an Advance Auto Parts store and ask the technicians to determine why it's on. If nothing serious, they can either fix or refer you to a reliable mechanic.
