Hi,

I tried to get my 2001 Audi smogged over the weekend and the smog tech. said that the check engine light is not working. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? We have checked the fuses and they are all okay.

It may be a burned out bulb, but if the bulb is OK then the wiring will need to be checked.

check local emissions laws. extended coverage may be available for MIL lights not working. in new york its 7 years 70,000 miles. 1) bulb 2) wire 3) engine module 4) inst cluster. i'd try a bulb.
