I had autozone run a diagnostic on the check engine light.
1. purge or vent selenoid defective
2. check connector and wiring
3. fuel saturated vapor canister

Where is the solenoid located and what are the steps to replace it.

I need to know the exact code. Is it a P0442. The answer from auto zone is too vague. There are several evap codes and each one points to a different section of the evap system. The several repair choices you gave could cost a lot on money and not really fix the car. If you can get the exact code number we would have much more to go on.
