Which would be the best place to get service, dealership service or independent mechanic?

Most parts stores will put a code reader on your car free of charge,the will or should tell you what the code is for.

Since I run an independent shop I admit I'm bias in that respect....but its best to get recommendations from friends or coworkers where they take their cars in the area where you live. Also good idea to check a paticular shops rating at the BBB site too to see how they handle complaints when they come along.

I understand about being bias with having a shop,I am also with being a mobile mechanic/ business owner,we all beleave that we give the best service,but I beleave that it only the customer who can tell us who THEY think does the best for them. No disrespect.....
