2004 Mercedes-Benz C240

Question: check engine light on. changed spark plugs, used low octane gas with booster.

light had come on before, put higher octane gas, went off, changed plugs, went on long trip with lower octane gas with booster, now using nothing but 93 octane gas.

    you should have the fault codes pulled from the control unit to determine the cause of the check engine light.If the light goes on and off it is normally due to misfire codes,spark plug cables or ignition coils could be faulty.
