2000 Toyota Tundra Question: Check engine light on.

 Rookie

The check engine light has been on for soom time now. I' reprogramed it several times and it will go off for a period of time.It runs grat and the only prooblem I can detect is the clock goes crazy.It will keep time for shot periods then advances a rapid pace blinking like crazy .Any advice wil be greatly appreciated.D.J B.

    Your check engine light indicates that the controller has detected a malfunction. The controller has data and trouble codes stored if you haven't cleared them. You can access those with a scanner and diagnose the problems starting there. I don't think your clock is related to the check engine light being on.
