About three weeks ago had to replace the altenator and the battery. Could this have anything to do with the engine light coming on?

You need to get the trouble code/codes retrieved with a code reader. Go to a chain parts house and get a free scan. Need a trouble code to help you more. Just because it runs fine doesn't mean you don't have a problem developing. Nip it in the bud now before you have a costly problem later.

Took it to Amaco for a free scan. They told me the code(didnt tell me what code #) means the engine is running lean. I bought a cleaner and cleaned the MAF sensor. The engine light is still on. Will it reset itself or are there more things I could try?
