The check engine light came on...engine was running fine. Manual said to be sure using Premium gas and that gas cap was on tight. Already using premium and cap was tight. So we filled the tank with premium gas on way home last night. Light is still on this morning. The manual said to give it 3 cycles of travel. So on way to work this morning the engine seems to miss on acceleration at times...not always. What should I do?

It's time to read the fault code(s) stored in the engine computer of your 1004 Lincoln Aviator. Knowing the fault code(s) stored will determine the starting point for diagnosing the system. Please use the following link to find out more information about your check engine light and what it means - http://repairpal.com/check-engine-light.http://repairpal.com.
