The light cold be on for over thousand of different reason. You need to get a computer diagnostic to see what is causing the light being on, than repair it accordingly. Zee

The light is coming on to tell you that the vehicle is storing a fault in the computer for something emissions related that is malfunctioning. You need to have the code read and that code will tell the tech where to begin diagnosing. It can come on for 200 different reasons.
