Check Engine Light Illumination on Mercury Milan

The check engine light may come on due to failure of the Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) solenoids. The VCT solenoids will need to be replaced if they are the reason the check engine light came on.

Check engine light steady on, had to replace the Purge Valve, $400. If you vehicle has less than 80000 miles this part replacement would be free because its part of the emissions system.

Variable camshaft solenoid replacement at 39650 miles.
It had been raining .started it and it missed .Than engine light came on .I drive it and it flashes on and off .I can feel it miss .I drove it about 20mile , Thanking it may have water or moisture causing this .Just seems odd to start missing after rain.Will call dealer and see what they say.
