my wife went to leave for work today, she tried starting the car all it did at first was cranking and cranking then she turned off the key and tried to re-start the car then it started once it did start it was running rough check engine light came on and was flashing , it acts as if it has no compression but runs rough it seems to have no compression, im afraid to try driving the car anywhere to get checked out

it has an engine missfire. you need to have it checked out to see what part has failed, could be plugs, wires, coil, module, injector or vacuum leak. let a shop do this for you. Roy

Thanks Roy, We had it towed in to the dealer due to we don't know of a good mechanic Berwyn Il. Roy, are you located in Berwyn Illinois ?

The ignition module or an ignition coil may fail causing the engine to misfire which can cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate or begin flashing.
The check engine light came on. Now my car starts and then it dies right away.
Rough start out of my garage and at stopping places. When warmed up, it is still rough.
