Check engine light seems to be related to the gas cap. I clean the gasket on the gas cap and assured tightness and problem went away. Comes back when the wife refills the gas.
The "Service Engine Soon" lights ON for a day or weeks, then OFF for a day or two. Replaced spark plugs / wiring, flushed radiator, replaced thermostat sensor and temperature sensor. Problem still exist.
I've replace the gas cap, and have issues filling the tank without the pump stopping consistently. Nothings worked yet.
I also have light for gas cap leak.
My wife has the same problem on hers, 120,656 miles. I took a pocket knife and carefully removed the rubber gasket inside the cap, wiped the gasket all over with a clean rag, cleaned the inside of the cap with Q-tips, and installed the gasket bottom side up because I noticed there was a groove in the side that made contact with the filler pipe. Next time we drive it should at least have a better seal - and the light should go out.
SES light came on. Abbout 50 miles later, gas cap light came on tightened cap both went off 100 miles later, same thing, but tightening cap doesn't help.
I had the service engine soon diagnosed by Autozone and they said to replace the gas cap and add fuel injector cleaner. So far it worked.
Replaced gas cap and always over tighten. Seems to work most of the time
Brake light stays on and warning bell continues to chime. Brake is off and car drives normally.
My service engine light will come on when the gas cap is not closed correctly. My car will not start because of an ignition problem and my car will not accelerate at times. Ready to trade it in!! :(
We had this problem with gas cap starting at about 80.000 miles.
New gas cap was installed.
My gas cap won't seal
in November of 2014 was fixed I have no idea I know that had to put something on or in gas line for the light to go out
Consistent Check Engine Light...tried several gas caps...oh well...
I've since have purchased 4 gas caps in the past 4 yrs...crazy huh! I just continue to replace the gas caps still
Also, my oil continually leaks onto my garage floor..just can't stop this leak, it's been serviced soo many times with same outcome....leak
I've replaced the gas cap at least 3 times in 78000 miles.

Never again a GM car!
Check engine light was on for about a year. I had Auto Zone run their diagnostic and bought a new gas cap and had the O2 sensor replaced. This was good until the next time I filled up the gas tank. The check engine light came right back on.
gas cap light and then check engine light comes on tighten gas cap and it went off only to come back on a few days later guess I should check into getting a new gas cap soon
gas cap indicator lite on and also check engine light on
