I had my plugs changed about two months ago because I noticed a slight miss.NOW MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND CODE READER SAYS MISFIRE ON #3 CYLINDER STILL HAS SLIGHT MISS ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU FIRST START THE ENGINE.ANY IDEAS WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM??

i would look at the wires, cap and rotor. all these are bascis of a complete tune up. this is a good start before talking about injectors or something else. thanks for using repairpal Roy

2002 dodge does not have distributor cap,rotor, or plug wires. I have changed plugs and replaced the coil pack on #3 cylinder to no avail.

which motor?? 3.7, 4.7 or 5.2 Roy

the 4.7 litre engine. I have 90,000 miles on the motor but it does'nt use any oil or run hot also there are no ticks or knocks in engine.

the codes that are displayed are a best guess estimate of the missfire. it may be another coil that is missfiring.. i suggest a shop to test all coils for failure to be sure of the problem. Roy
