Check engine light on 2007 Buick Lucerne

When this light comes on after ti has been found to not be a problem and the gas cap is ok what is the next step. Will I have to pay continually to have it switched off or can I just ignore it.

The check engine light should not be just reset and you can not just ignore the light. The computer memory has stored fault codes current and history. You should at least have a qualified tech.scan your computer and download the fault codes and this will lead you to the correct system and the repair that is needed.
dont ignore it. it can be a serious issue that can do more damage to your vehicle. if you want give me a call and we will set up a time to retrieved the code for you and let you know what it will take to fix the issue properly. 925 689 4428
