Question: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Question

Visitor, 3.7L V6, Saint Louis, MO, May 25, 2011, 03:32

I HAVE TWO PROBLEMS WITH MY JEEP LIBERTY, ONE BEING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOUR TIMES, IT WOULD USUALLY STAY ON FOR A DAY OR TWO BUT NOW IT HAS BEEN ON FOR MORE THAN A WEEK. I HAD IT TESTED AND I WAS GIVEN A CODE WHICH I DON'T HAVE WITH ME AT THIS TIME BUT THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A OXYGEN LEAK OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND THE OTHER PROBLEM IS MY BACKLIGHT WHERE I CHANGE GEARS GOES OUT AND COMES ON, SOMETIMES IT STAYS OFF FOR A WHILE.

get back to me with the code number. then we can proceed. dont be fooled to replace the o2 sensor because of the code. a code never identifies a failed part, just a failed system

I've also had the same problem, usually after going thru a carwash. I ended up having the computer replaced. I suspect that it was a leaking unit, and a fault denied by Chrysler
