2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK500 Q&A
2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK500 Question: Check Engine Light
My check engine light is on & a small bit of oil/fluid on a hose running on the drivers side that has a mesh cover on it. The fluid is where the hose connects to a small box close to the fan and also oil in a tray type thing where the hose connects close to the side of the engine. The valve covers and manifold have no signs of oil. There is a slight smell of something burning sometimes while driving the car. Feel free to ask any questions to pinpoint the problem, as my description may be vague. - robsra
The check engine light may or may not be related to the oil leak. Oil leaks are by no means uncommon on Benzes of this vintage.
