Check Engine in red, what does it mean? things to do? what are the components to check? or replaced ? Where are the spark plugs located?

    Right down the center of the valve cover on top of the engine is a plastic cover that needs to be removed. Below that are separate ignition coils one per cylinder that are removed top gain access to the plugs.
    The check engine light being on means the computer n your car sees a fault that needs to be investigated. Mercedes has a scan tool to retrieve these On Board Diagnostic codes.
