2000 audi s4 ? i started my car when it was raining, but had already driven it beforehand in the rain that day. anyway the car would turn over but had trouble getting it to stay on and idle. after that it would drive but stumbled and vibrated and was never a steady acceleration. check englne light was blinking and or stayed on. then i shut it off, then restarted it and revved it and it went away and drove fine. the next day i started it up and cel was on and kept stumbling.. it will idle fine where it should, but sounds like a v8. is this the coil packs or mass air or ? please help! thanks

Possibly a coil is failing, but you'll want to get it checked to know for sure. You don't want to drive this too much in this condition, you'll damage your catalytic converter $$

I just bought a 2000 S-4 it is a beautiful car blue I love it! As I have done before I paid to much $6500! I bought it from the owner of a German foreign car service center. I was told it was told it was in perfect condition? LoL! One problem just occured I drove to an appointement came out to leave started the car and had the check engine stumble rough acceleration? Took it to the service center what do you know it went away? The owner who sold it to me said it was probably the stereo I had installled? I knew better not only did he not tell me about this issue he gave me a laundry list of repairs I need. 1. Front wheel bearing 2. rear seal trans.Oh and it came with the heater core bypassed. Now is it me or is this guy assuming that I am as stupid as he is dishonest or is this good business? A service center owner selling me a car over price and now gives me a list of repairs does not tell me about the issue above? I did ask him if it could be a spark plug I also told him the engine semed rather hot after one of the codes was exhaust to hot. I don't know how I should respond to this? I have made an appointment for the wheel bearing to be replaced along with the seal. He said hes giving me a good deal and he was nice enough not to charge me for the diagnostic! I still love the car though! Sincerely, Billy
