2000 Suzuki Esteem Question: CHECK ENGINE

When I put on the engine the "CHECK ENGIGE" sign appears on the pannel and remains even when the car is moving. What should I do? -
Answer 1
The Check Engine light should come on when the ignition is turned on but extinguish when the engine starts and runs. If the light stays with the engine running the computer in your car sees a fault with the emission control system that needs to be diagnosed by plugging a scan tool into a 16 pin diagnostic socket under the dash of your car. this article can help http://repairpal.com/check-engine-light -
