Definitely have checked for head gasket probs. If not seeeing any coolant then have dye added to system and drive and then check with blacklight. For the front end noise take to a qualified shop that has drive on rack so they can jounce front end and try to duplicate the noise.

This was the beginning of the failure of my water pump. Months of Check Coolant and adding miniscule amounts of fluid to keep the message off for a couple days. After months, while driving on the freeway...car stuttered slightly ( as if running out of gas ), a minute later I heard a snap, started to pull off freeway and power steering locked up, battery light came on, extreme temp warning. I opened the hood...fan belt had snapped, broke all blades of the fan and they severed all hoses and bore into the radiator. $3,500 to rebuild ENTIRE cooling system and it all started with "Check Coolant". Have your water pump inspected ASAP to avoid this nightmare!
