Mercedes-Benz E320 Check Belt Tensioner When Replacing Water Pump

A coolant leak may develop from the water pump. When replacing the water pump, the drive belt tensioner should be inspected and most likely replaced as well.

 

Noticed coolant smell following short drive. Mechanic found evidence of coolant leaks coming from water pump. Pump replaced and belt tensioner replaced at same time. Problem corrected. -
