Question: charging light

 Rookie

my charge light and brake light come on some times and now wont go off i have checked the alternator and it checks out good can some one please help me??????????

  The brake light needs the alternator to be charging to extinguish the charge light. With the engine running hit the alternator, if the light goes out the alternator is bad! They do or can fail intermittently. Check for power at the back of the alternator on the small wire with the key on or running it should bring current down to the alternator to energize the alternator. The larger wire at the alternator brings charging current to the battery.
