Question: changing the AC belt.

when i turn on the ac, it makes a horrible squeal. turn off ac, goes away. is it difficult to change a belt?

    This may be due to a loose belt, bad belt tensioner, but it's also likely the A/C compressor has a problem.

    no the a/c belt is easy to change, the bottom bolt on the alt. is really tight thou. Check the p/s belt while you're there, the whole job should take 30 minutes and you'll need to remove the pass. half of the front splash sheild.
