Is it a big deal to change the transmission fuild on my car? I thinking of having it done next time I bring thr car in for repairs. The car as 75k for miles. -
Answer 1
It's no big deal at all. Service may include test drive and inspection for leaks, remove the pan, replace the filter and inspect the visible internal components. Many shops also torque the valve body bolts and adjust the shift linkage as part of the service. Check to be certain that Toyota T-IV fluid will be put back in. There are many transmission fluids on the market and not all are compatible. Here's more information: http://www.agcoauto.com/content/news/p2_articleid/45 -
