Friend of mine told me that this shop fix foreign car too and charge very reasonable labor. I took my 09 MB R350 there and told him what the problem is, he then told me what needed to be done and the price of parts plus labor that I will be charged (couple of hundred bucks cheaper than the other MB shop in Somerdale).
Car is fix and I am happy too.
I had brakes and timing belt replaced here when both Chad and Mike owned the shop. The pads had a lifetime replacement guarantee. When I called to make an appointment to have the pads replaced sometime later I was told they won't honor the pad guarantee since one of the owners was bought out. I have found a reputable shop who stands behind their guarantees.
Have also begun taking a Mercury Grand Marquis there also.
This has been just "Chad's Auto Repair" for a few years now. Chad and Mike had a parting of the ways, from what I gather, over some accounting issues and distribution of income. You can probably figure out the rest, though I won't say anything more, as I don't know the details.
Chad is an outstanding mechanic, gives fair pricing, tells you your options, and doesn't try to push unneeded upsells. I worked as a flatrate mechanic for a few years in my younger days, before I pursued a career in IT consulting. So I know good mechanics (as well as bad and mediocre ones) when I see them.
Through fifty years of owning at least two dozen cars of various makes and styles, and after living in Florida, NYC, Virginia, Delaware and New Jersey, and using dozens of shops and mechanics, I have only known two other mechanics as good as Chad, and he is as good as they are. One had been in business for thirty years, on the west coast of Florida, and the other was a retired Navy chief mechanic and drag racer in Richmond.
Chad has somewhere around twenty years experience, plus or minus, and really knows cars, plus he is a fair and decent human being, in a business where that isn't always the case. His new second guy, Jose, is also a great person and great mechanic, although I haven't known him as long as I have known Chad.
You will not go wrong going to Chad. I am not related to him, and only consider him a friend on the basis of the quality of work he has done for me and my family over the last decade or so. But he has earned my friendship and respect due to his integrity and ability. If you go there, you will see what I mean, and will be glad you did.
