CD player won't work on 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

I just bought car. The 6-CD player will not accept nor reject any CD's (don't know if there are any CD's in it) Is there some kind of reset button? If not, how do I go about taking it apart? Or is a job for Ford Dealership thanks much

Yes they give problems, I just did my brother in law's one I think it was $200 or $250 to repair. Google "original equipment stereo repair" lots of people specialize in repairing them call for estimates. Stereo removal is often kind of complex and it's easy to damage trim pieces if correct removal procedures are not followed. This link is probably the best for stereo removal procedures , this link has some free stereo removal procedures for some cars . There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... Alldata is very easy to navigate . They have very clear stereo removal procedures. Once the stereo is out Google "automotive original equipment stereo repair", I've had lots of OE stereos repaired.
