Awesome people, honest and affordable. Beautiful shop and clean. I feel right at home. They also offer to take me home and pick me up while my vehicle is being repaired.

Have used this shop in the past. My son's 2002 grand am blew a head gasket. Had him tow it here based upon past work.

Not sure but what they charged him seemed a high. Not sure if it was because he was a kid.

This app puts estimate at $1500 or so plus more if the heads needed work.

They charged $2600.00 to fix his car. We almost salvaged the car instead of fixing it. After this I lost faith in Cartec.

I was sorry to hear “netburn” has lost faith in Cartec. If I remember correctly after the diagnosis, the needed repairs were discussed with the customer. In our twenty plus years of maintaining vehicles we’ve found it best not to cut corners. The heads were sent to a machine shop. Due to inherent problems with this engine we prefer to use the premium gasket set. We also performed a cooling system flush and then installed a new thermostat, spark plugs and plug wires.
