2007 Suzuki SX4 Repair and Maintenance
A guide to problems, costs, maintenance and repair for your 2007 Suzuki SX4
2007 Suzuki SX4 Problems
The manual transmission may "pop" out of 5th gear, this is most commonly caused by a faulty 5th gear synchronizer. Our technicians tell us a revised 5th gear synchronizer is available to correct this concern.
A condition may develop where the accelerator pedal sticks and is not smooth. This can be caused by carbon build up on the throttle shaft or throttle body cleaner was used which removed the special coating on the throttle shaft. Our technicians tell us that if this is the case the throttle body should be replaced.
2007 Suzuki SX4 Questions
My Suzuki sx4 sedan has problems accelerating as well as it has a slow start when I come to a stop in traffic. Additionally it jumps while idling or upon take off.
This is for a Swift - not a SX4 (didn't give me this option). Whirring noise getting worse in low gear which stops when clutch is depressed. Any ideas what's causing this please? Thanks
I can avoid the slight shudder if I move off from stop very gently. There is no problem at normal road speed in other gears. I wonder if there is a clutch problem or a faulty CV Joint. I purchased the car 2nd hand from the local Suzuki dealer at 93k and I am told this is normal.
2007 Suzuki SX4 Recalls
The passenger seat contains a sensor which helps determine if the passenger front airbag should deploy or not in the event of a crash. It is called the occupant classification system (OCS), and is a mat that is part of the passenger seat cushion. These vehicles are being recalled because the OCS may fail due to the repeated flexing of the mat from general use of the seat. As a result, in the event of a crash the passenger airbag may deploy when it should not, increasing the risk of personal injury. Dealers will replace the front passenger seat cushion (which includes the OCS sensor mat) to correct this concern.
Suzuki is recalling 2007 SX4 hatchbacks and 2008–2010 SX4 hatchback and sedan models due to problems with the outside rear view mirrors. The three screws that secure the mirrors to their base may become loose due to vibration. This may cause the mirror to fall off, reducing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the base screws on both outside rear view mirrors free of charge.
2007 Suzuki SX4 Reviews
2007 Suzuki SX4 AWD.The information diplay(clock/thermometer/fuel consumption light)has blown out,but there isn't any instructions in the owner manual about what fuse to replace when this display light goes out.The Fuse diagram does not have a fuse labled for information display or clock light etc.Can somebody help me with this issue?
I bought my 2007 Sx4 second hand and had to finance it and have had nothing but trouble with it. It's a good thing I bought an extended warranty. The catalytic converter went out and now my CV axile needs to be replaced and the parts are expense. There isn't a dealership where I live so it's very inconvenient to get it fixed. I don't think I ever buy one again
