1996 Oldsmobile LSS ProblemsHeating and AC Temperature and Air Delivery Mode Door Actuators May Fail
One or more heater & AC (HVAC) temperature and/or air delivery mode door actuator may fail, resulting in improper temperature or air delivery. If this occurs, fault code(s) should be stored in the HVAC control module which should assist in diagnoses.
The mode and temperature door actuators may fail causing improper air flow or temperature output from the heating and AC (HVAC) system.
Problems with anti-theft systems using the raised-chip key can prevent the car from starting. The wires in the steering column to the ignition lock cylinder tend to break. The key and ignition lock cylinder should be replaced to correct this condition.
1996 Oldsmobile LSS QuestionsMy question is how do I fix the electric windows and seats they stopped working? (1 answer)
The car just started having trouble cranking over and idling smooth.
Car wouldn't start, battery seemed good, all lights on. Radio would play but I turned it off, also fan so as not to drain battery.
Kept turning key for about 3-4 minutes, finally started.
Three weeks later it happened again. Took more time turning the key many times to get it going.
a/c heater fan makes a lot of noise.
