2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Recalls

Front Lower Control Arms Corrode And Detach

The front lower control arms may corrode and detach from the vehicle cross member. Dealers will inspect the front cross members and either apply a sealing anti-corrosion agent or replace the front cross member depending on the severity of existing corrosion free of charge to resolve the concern.

Power Steering Pressure Hose Leaks

The power steering hose may develop a leak due to contacting the transmission housing. Dealers will replace the pressure hose and return hose free of charge to resolve the problem.

Brake Lights May Not Work as Expected

2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport vehicles are being recalled because the brake lamps may illuminate continuously, or not at all. The shift lever could also be moved out of Park (P) without depressing the brake pedal. If the brake lights do not come on when braking this could increase the risk of a rear end collision. If the shift lever is moved out of park when the brake pedal is not depressed, the vehicle could roll unexpectedly. Dealers will make sure the brake light switch is properly installed to correct this concern.
