The automatic transmission may develop a 2-3 shift flair. This is commonly caused by an internal fault related to the reverse clutch assembly. Replacement of the rear housing and reverse clutch assembly may be required to correct this concern.

The crankshaft position sensor may fail causing a no start and/or stalling condition. Replacement of the failed sensor will generally corrects this concern.

The Check Engine Light may illuminate due to one or more engine vacuum leaks. Our technicians tell us these leaks can be caused by damage to seals and/or vacuum hoses as a result of to much ethanol content in the gasoline. Affected hoses and seals must be replaced to correct this concern.

Gaskets stickn n there real tight

cut the car off it will not start back up have to wait awhile and then it starts back up.This happens every time

A/C works and blows cold air. Changing it to different settings works just fine too, but I just don't get any heat when I switch to it. Also when warming up the engine or driving for awhile I notice the coolant level doesn't reach the halfway mark at all.

The fuel return line fitting at the fuel pump may be restricted, causing excessive fuel pressure in the fuel injection system. This may result in a fuel leak from the return hose. A fuel leak always increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel pump pressure. Vehicles with higher than normal fuel pressure will receive fuel pump modifications to correct this concern.

I had my 2003 model since new, the only parts I have replaced is the oxygen sensor, front disk and brakes and timing belt. The cars has 230,000 miles and still going.

There is rust in the rear door well. A/C keeps shutting off when it gets hot. Mits dealership ran it for two hours, added dye and new refrigerant. Said to bring it back if problem reoccurs. It is over 90 degrees here today and the A/C stopped again.

I have had my 2003 galant for about four years. It has been nothing but a pain since I got it. I go to sleep praying it will start and wake up praying it wont break down on the way to work.
