2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 ProblemsReplace Brake Rotors When Pads are Worn and Squeaking
Due to the size and material used on the brakes of these vehicles, the brakes may start to squeak around the 50 percent wear point. The brake rotor surfaces become uneven, causing a lip to form at the outer edge of the rotor. Because of this, the rotors are usually replaced when the pads are worn (pad life varies depending on driving style and terrain).
2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 QuestionsOccasionally I hear a clink sound in the rear of the car. (2 answers)
The clunk sound usually occurs shortly after I have put it in gear. I have also heard it when driving under 10 mph but not at a faster rate of speed. Has anyone else reported such a problem? Mercedes service center has not been able to address the problem.
2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 RecallsTail Lights Do Not Light On The Sides
The tail lights may not light up on the sides, which can make it difficult to see the vehicle. This fails to comply with federal safety standards. Dealer will update the lighting controller software free of charge to correct the problem.
A rubber seal at the back of the engine bay may stick to the hood and then fall into the engine compartment, possibly contacting hot exhaust components and causing a fire hazard. Dealers will attach additional retainer clips to the rubber seal free of charge to resolve the concern.
