Passenger Frontal Air Bag Inflator Ruptures On Deployment

The passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture on deployment, causing metal fragments to come through the air bag and injure occupants. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator free of charge to resolve the concern.

Ball Joints Corrode And Separate From Suspension

The ball joint may corrode and separate from the suspension of the vehicle. Dealers will replace both front lower control arms free of charge to resolve the concern.

Front Power Seat May Not Adjust

The wire harness under seats equipped with position memory may be damaged by the front cover bracket. As a result, the ability to adjust the seat may be lost and cause difficulties driving the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect, repair, and secure the harness as necessary. This recall is expected to begin by March 16, 2009. The Mazda recall number is 5309B.

Not a happy consumer. Water comes in through the windshield after a heavy rain soaking the floor. Now there is an electrical problem. Car has less than 30,000 and service will not cover it.
