A fluid leak may be noted from the axle area. Red fluid is from the transmission. Brown fluid is from the power transfer unit (PTU). Leaks are commonly from the axle seal and/or PTU cover seal. Leaking seals should be replaced as necessary.
The foam seal between the dash and the windshield may slip out of place due to failed adhesive. Our technicians tell us the windshield must be removed in order to replace the foam seal.
Poor fitment of the headliner, which may or may not develop into a rattle noise around the sunroof area is generally caused buy foam isolation blocks becoming detached from the headliner. The repair involves re-securing the foam blocks using cable (zip) ties.

At between 1000 to 1200 rpm, the car bucks seemingly between shifting. New transmission last year. They say "not a trans issue."

When traveling the wrench light comes on and car will not go. As if it runs out of gas. After turning off it is Ok. Happened on railroad track has become very dangerous.

The passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture on deployment, causing metal fragments to come through the air bag and injure occupants. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator free of charge to resolve the concern.
Corrosion due to salt exposure on the fuel tank can lead to a fuel leak in affected vehicles. Near an ignition source, leaking fuel can catch fire and endanger passengers and property. Ford has not yet developed a remedy but will correct the issue when the remedy has been finalized.
The fuel tank may develop a leak near a weld which was contaminated during manufacturing. Dealers will inspect and replace affected tanks free of charge to resolve the concern.
