2000 Lincoln LS Problems

Service power steering fluid regularly

Even though the manufacturer does not call for regular servicing, our technicians recommend servicing the power steering fluid regularly.

Rough Idle and/or Engine Stalling Condition

In high dust areas, problems with the EGR system are common. The filter for the EGR solenoid may plug and cause the EGR to activate when it should not; this can cause the engine to stall. The dirty filter should be replaced to correct this concern.

Overheating Due to Damaged Water Pump

Erratic engine coolant temperature or intermittent overheating can be caused by corrosion inside the water pump. The impeller may spin on the water pump shaft or the impeller may corrode. Either condition reduces coolant circulation resulting in engine overheating.

2000 Lincoln LS Recalls

Lincoln Recalls 2000-2001 LS Due to Loose Ball Joint to Control Arm Fasteners

If the ball joints are not fastened securely, it could result in a fracture of the ball joint stud. This could result in loss of vehicle control and an accident. Dealers will inspect the torque on the two ball joint attaching fasteners.

2000 Lincoln LS Reviews

Was my dream car until I actually bought one...I have never been more disappointed in my life. Honestly Ford, good way to kill it for a girl! This car is worse then a divorce, talk about taking you for half, this car will rip you from all means of thought, of making it in life. I love my LS, but it shows no love back. I'm really looking forward to the day I can trade this car in! That's even if...
I dont own an ls but was thinking about it.1500 bucks It has some body damage,186,300 on the dash,& a rusty Undercarriage.interior is excellent & drives great.what do You think?
I bought my 2000 LS V-6 used, with 74,000 miles more than three years ago. I have had no major problems. I drive it every day. The car runs and drives great. The under side is now getting rusty, this car doesn't owe me anything. I would get another one.
