2008 Lexus RX350 ProblemsAir Conditioning Fault Due to Failed AC Amplifier
The air conditioning light may flash or an AC error message may be displayed. Our technicians tell us this is commonly due to a fault with the AC amplifier, as revised part is available to correct this concern.
The supplemental restraints system (SRS) warning light may illuminate with code B0111 and/or B0116. Our technicians tell us Lexus has several service bulletins regarding the SRS system. It is not uncommon to replace one or more airbags to correct these fault codes.
An VVT-i oil line on the Lexus RX350 is known to burst. This is a very large leak which covers the ground, engine, and undercarriage.
If the oil line ruptures while driving, the low engine oil message and engine oil pressure warnings will illuminate. Continued use after these warnings will result in complete engine failure due to oil starvation.
The line is known to be defective, and a revised part has been issued by Toyota, however, this revised part is known for the same issue.
To repair the issue, the line must be replaced, and the engine bay and undercarriage must be cleaned thoroughly.
2008 Lexus RX350 QuestionsWhat is known about the issues concerning the engine oil leakage with this model (1 answer)
My car went for 115 K maintenance. When I was driving on highway, I noticed smoke from exhaust, rear windshield oily, and strange noises from the hood. When I parked the car oil was dripping from the engine. Therefore, need to know the diagnosis and its frequency (if reported by others). Thank you.
I have 110,000 miles. Being a widow it is very hard for me to know about these things. I have tried reseting, to no avail. Please help!
My battery is one year old... I just had the service done 3 days ago... It is parked inside... There is not one ounce of battery power, nothing will work... I unhooked the battery and made sure the terminal connections were tight. Still nothing... Any suggestions???
