2006 Lexus RX330 ProblemsTransmission Control Software Update Available
A shift "lag" may be noted when accelerating from speeds of 10 to 20 mph. A software update for the transmission control module has been released which may correct this concern. Software updates are commonly most effective on newer vehicles. Higher mileage vehicles may exhibit a similar symptom caused by a component failure. However, whenever major transmission repairs are performed the transmission software should be checked and updated as necessary.

Svc. Tech knew exactly what I was talking about and said he'd had "numerous" complaints. Basically, the problem is the SENSOR from the foot pedal to the engine. Very common in 04-06 RX and EX models!

The floor carpet cover may interfere with the accelerator pedal if its forward retention clip is not installed properly. As a result, the throttle can become stuck in a partially open position, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the carpet cover with a newly designed one. No owner notification schedule has been provided at this time.
A seal between the master cylinder and brake booster may fail and allow fluid to leak into the brake booster. This can cause reduced braking performance. Dealers will replace the seal with a newly designed one free of charge to resolve the concern.
