Vehicle Brakes On Its Own

The brake system may slow the vehicle without driver input and without illuminating the brake lights due to a faulty brake pedal load sensing switch. Dealers will replace the brake pedal support assembly, including the brake pedal load sensing switch free of charge to resolve the concern.

The Steering Wheel May Become Off-Center

The variable gear ratio steering (VGRS) steering system in these cars is controlled by a mico processor. The processor (Electronic Control Unit - ECU) programming for this system could cause the steering wheel to become "off-center" when restarting immediately after the vehicle is parked with the steering wheel turned. If this occurs, the vehicle could move in an unexpected direction, possibly resulting in a crash. Dealers will update the VGRS system to correct this concern.
