Car has a defective part which Lexus will not admit too, a defective axle assembly.
An VVT-i oil line on the Lexus ES350 is known to burst. This is a very large leak which covers the ground, engine, and undercarriage.
If the oil line ruptures while driving, the low engine oil message and engine oil pressure warnings will illuminate. Continued use after these warnings will result in complete engine failure due to oil starvation.
The line is known to be defective, and a revised part has been issued by Toyota, however, this revised part is known for the same issue.
To repair the issue, the line must be replaced, and the engine bay and undercarriage must be cleaned thoroughly.
The Check Engine Light may illuminate with a fault code P0505 stored. Our technicians tell us that this fault can be caused by a failed electronic throttle body assembly which will require replacement.

Toyota is recalling 2004–2010 models for an accelerator pedal that can get stuck in the wide open position due to problems with the floor mat. This may cause high vehicle speeds that make it difficult to stop the vehicle, which can result in a crash. In order to correct the problem, dealers will replace the pedals, alter the shape of the floor, and/or replace the floor mats. Toyota will also modify software on certain models to ensure that the brake overrides the accelerator in the event that both are applied.
