Defective Vehicle Height Sensor May Deactivate Air Suspension

A failed vehicle height sensor can cause deactivation of the air suspension.

Suspension fault, "Normal Height Only" message displayed.

Land Rover LR3 vehicles were shipped with a Hitachi air suspension compressor, which wears out prematurely, causing the air suspension to become disabled since it cannot pressurize the system within the calibrated time frame. Problems with tire pressure control module

2005 Land Rover LR3 Recalls

Misalignment of Steering Column With Clock Spring May Cause Air Bags Not to Function

On certain LR3 and Range Rover Sport vehicles. There is a misalignment between the steering column and air bag clock spring. This may cause a break in the airbag wiring and lead to the SRS Safety Restraint System light coming on. A bad circuit may also prevent the air bag from deploying, leading to injury or death. The dealer will insert  1mm spacers between the left hand side of the column switch mounting point and column lock to improve alignment of the column switch. Two foam pads will also be fitted to the top of the steering column switch gear to provide clearance between the cowl and clock spring face. The Land Rover recall # is P045

Manufacturing Error on Hitch Style Bike Rack May Cause Laceration or Amputation of Users Finger

Certain aftermarket Thule hitch style bicycle racks with fold down style bike arms. A pinch bolt exists between the bike arm bracket and the upright assembly of the hitch style bicycle rack. When moving the bike arm bracket to its down position, this pinch point has the potential of causing a severe laceration or amputation to the users finger tips or hand. Thule will provide a repair kit and instructions free of charge 

Out of Specification Breather Pipe May Cause Engine Problems or Fuel Spillage

Some sport utility vehicles may have fuel tanks that contain a out of specification breather pipe. This may result in deterioration of a grommet and result in pipe detaching from tube. When the Fuel level is above the the level of the joint, fuel may enter the breather pipe.This may cause rough engine running, stalling, hard starts, hesitation, and misfires. If the Vapor canister becomes saturated, the fuel may leak and cause a fire hazard. Dealer will replace fuel tanks free of charge. The Land Rover recall # is P001

I bought my Lr3 about 2 years ago with 52600 miles on it and in that time I've replaced a tie rod, ball joint, alternator, battery,brake rotors and now got to replace front drive shaft and front wheel bearing...turning out to be one of the worse vehicles I've ever owned!!!
