Head Lamps

One or both head light bulbs may burn out prematurely requiring replacement. There have also been reports of other bulbs burning out often as well.

Revised Crankshaft Pulley Bolt

In order to correct a problem that results in difficulty starting, engine vibration, or a rattling sound from the engine compartment, Kia released an updated crankshaft pulley bolt.

Failure of AC Compressor Clutch

A defective AC compressor clutch assembly can cause excessive noise or vibration when the air conditioning is on. Improved parts are available. Replacing the faulty clutch assembly does not necessitate replacement of the complete AC compressor or evacuation and recharging of the air conditioning system.

2005 Kia Sorento Reviews

After the vehicle stopped working for the second time in 3 months. I had to do some research, this last incident none of the belts would spin but the engine is running. I came to find out this is a common problem with the Sorento. The bolt of the crankshaft breaks which causes more damage. The steering goes out and the brake and battery light comes on. Now Im about to come out of pocket another...
I am also a 2005 KIA Soento owner and I have also had to replace my headlights & brake lights constantly, drives me bonkers, then my A/C went out. I was also told by the dealership it was front wheel drive inturn it was not ; (
Bought my car used. I have replaced headlights and rear lights over and over. Wiper motor went out had it replaced now air conditioner has stopped blowing air. I have had it with this car and drives me crazy section Alabama
