2009 Jeep Liberty ProblemsFront/Rear Differential Pinion Seal/Transfer Case Leaks are Common
Leaks at the front and/or rear differential pinion seal and from the transfer case are common. Low fluid level in the differential or transfer case can result in bearing failure. Damaged bearings commonly cause a whine or growl type noise.
An engine misfire at idle (rough idle), accompanied by illumination or flashing of the Check Engine Light, could indicate a problem with one or more of the intake valves. Revised intake valves & valve locks are available to address this concern.
The sky slider sunroof may not open. A software upgrade for the control module is available which should correct this concern.
2009 Jeep Liberty QuestionsDo I have to go to a dealer just to check my transmission fluid? (1 answer)
My Jeep Liberty 2009 is jumping gears while driving. I want to check transmission fluid but my book states I have a close transmission. Is their access to transmission fluid without opening transmission?
Very scary, while driving or turning, while excelerating, it makes a noise and stops driving and then kicks into gear!
